Dark Night

By: Mike H.

The third installment in the Dark Knight films is coming next summer. This will be Directors Christopher Nolan’s conclusion to the Dark Knight installment. To gain appreciation of the third Batman film we must understand why this series is so unique. What is unique about the series is Nolan’s take on the Batman series. The first Batman film from Nolan, Batman Begins, sought to understand the origins of Batman and explored the events that contribute to the development of Bruce Wayne’s alter ego. In Batman Begins we see batman becoming, we witness Batman creating the first prototype of his Bat suite including his utility belt. In the second film, The Dark Knight, we witness the progression of the Dark Knight and the internal battle between his two alter egos and the escalation of Gotham City’s criminals into super villains. So many are wonder, in which direction will Nolan take the Dark Knight films. How will Batman evolve in the third film? Will there be a new Batmanmobile (the first one was destroyed in the third film), will there be a new Batcave. Also, how will the villains Bane and Cat Women aka be portrayed? Lastly and most importantly is this the last Dark Knight film from Christopher Nolan?

Transformers

With the launch of the third Transformers film let’s take a look back at the 26 year history of the Transformers. Unlike popular belief, the transformers began not as a cartoon but as a line of toys. Transformers were invented by Hasbro and Takara Tomy, both of which are toy manufacturing companies. The Transformers toys inspired the 1980s carton which depicted a story about alien robots that are divided into two warring faction, Autobots and Decepticons. The animated series became a huge hit, airing for five seasons. The series also went through several reboots, in the 1990s and the 2000s. Today the Transformer story has been turned into three blockbuster motion pictures. Transformers memorabilia are a huge collector’s items. Some Transformers toy and apparel collections go for thousand of dollars, so be sure to get your Transformer memorabilia because they might become valuable some day.
